My name is Al Rottnek. I am a big sports fan and I still bowl on league during the winter season. I used to play softball until injury ended my softball career in 1997.
I am a Non-Traditional Student of UAF. I work full time at Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. I have been employed at GVEA since 1992. Prior to working for GVEA, I was employed in the Air Force in the Accounting office. I separated from the Air Force in August of 1991. In between the Air Force and GVEA I had jobs at Rain Proof Roofing and Fred Meyer.
I have been married since June 1989. My wife (Dawn) and I have been together since March 1987. It has been an interesting life. I never dreamt that I would be living in Alaska.
